I have a few thoughts regarding today's post.
First - I am obsessed with making these peanut butter bites. As in, I've been making them every Monday for the week and each morning pack FOUR in my bag for work. It's become a real problem. But on the flip side, I've been buying less RX Bars which are pricey, so maybe I am saving money?!Read More
All of the time I think about the day when I'll be able to bake with my daughter. When she'll be able to sit up at the table with me and help mix the dough and add the flours and sugar.Read More

With Memorial Day coming up, I thought I would share one of my favorite crowd-worthy desserts. Perfect for a cookout or party. Enter: the cookie cake. This is my favorite mostly because you just press it all into one pan and bake it and you're done. At least until you frost it. I recommend frosting it with a buttercream frosting and you're guests will love you forever.
I have a confession. Feeding my baby so far in her 9 months of life has come with its own set of mom guilt and anxiety.
Don't get me wrong. I love food, think about food nonstop, and I'm so excited for our little eater to experience really great good. But, ever since Dylan was a newborn, I've always been worried about doing it the right way…Read More

If you like fitness and a good cup of coffee, then today's post is for you!...
I've always been a morning person. It’s the time of day I prefer to workout or run. It’s when I feel my best because I’m not weighed down by the long day. But, it was always so rushed. I was spending much of my morning at the gym, only to have time to run home, shower and race out the door to work with a mug of coffee in my hand. I actually knew that I was spiraling into a frenzy and would be burnt out by it all soon enough. I mean, you can't keep that up 7 days a week forever! But it was how I’d always been. I think it started with an active youth and then playing 4 varsity sports in high school, I was always on the move.
Well something happened last year that sloooowed me down... like, way down.
A baby happened.Read More
We are just starting to feed Dylan solid foods. It's baby steps. Started with avocado for a few days, then sweet potato, and now just tried squash. She makes a confused look at her first bite of a new food. Like, so confused. Even cringes. But then eats it up with excitement...Read More
First of all, welcome to January! Wow, I can't believe another year has come and gone. I feel like it was just January 2017 and I was thinking about what I wanted to accomplish in the year ahead and now I'm here again facing another year. Maybe this is just how it is as we get older? Years fly by in a blink. So I'm definitely working on living in the moment in 2018. With my family - soaking up each dinner and holiday together. And especially with Dylan - watching her grow each day. Laying on the floor as she plays or holding her as I nurse, I watch her every move, trying to write it in my memory forever because I know she won't be this small forever. I know in a blink it'll be 2019 and I'll be writing a similar post about how fast the year went. Ahh life is crazy! But crazy wonderful.Read More
