What Is Hydroxytyrosol? And Why It's the Star Ingredient in Clean Beauty Right Now

Let’s talk about the powerhouse skincare ingredient that’s been transforming skin in Europe for over two decades - and is just now making waves in the United States.
Hydroxytyrosol.
It sounds like a science project, doesn’t it?! But trust me - it’s more skin-transforming than confusing!
what exactly is hydroxytyrosol?!
This term was new to me, too.
Hydroxytyrosol is a potent antioxidant that is only found in the olive tree - mainly in the leaves and the oil. It’s one of the most powerful antioxidants in the world, with research showing it’s 5x more effective than Vitamin C and 10x stronger than green tea! It also holds one of the highest ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) scores ever recorded!
