If you're searching for an honest Blueland review, you're in the right place. I wanted to share what I actually think after using them in our home.

This isn't a sponsored review. I bought these products myself because I was looking for non-toxic cleaning products that also helped reduce the amount of plastic waste our family creates. Some products have become permanent staples in my cleaning routine. Others...not so much.

Here's my honest experience.

Why I tried Blueland.

After seeing Blueland on social media for several months, I decided to finally give it a try. Over the last several years, I have really been working on reducing our plastic use and reducing the environmental toxins in our home. Especially when it comes to cleaning products. I feel like Blueland does both of these things! The products are made with clean ingredients (safe for you and the planet) and is a Certified B Corporation.

You can read my top 10 ways to reduce environmental toxins in your home in my blog post, here.

I loved the mission of Blueland: Make it easy to be eco with innovative products in reusable packaging that are convenient, effective and affordable.

I started with just the dishwasher tablets a few months ago that I ordered on Amazon, and then I recently got “The Tablet Trio” Starter Kit because I wanted to try the laundry tablets and the toilet cleaner - I had heard great things about both.

I like that the tablets are all super easy to use and are not wrapped in plastic. They are 100% plastic free! And the containers are so chic and minimal. I just love the design. Plus, they don’t take up a lot of room in our cabinet, they are pretty small in size, so no extra waste! When you run out, you keep the container and just buy the refill bags.

Product Reviews for The Tablet Trio:

  • The Toilet Cleaner Tablets are probably my favorite Blueland item I’ve tried!! I continue to reorder these. They fizz when you put them in your toilet bowl, and then you can clean the toilet after it fizzes, if you’d like. I really love the fresh lemon scent! My kids love watching the tablet fizz in the water. If you're only going to try one Blueland product, I'd start here.

  • The Laundry Tablets are my second favorite Blueland item! Another item I reorder. I get the unscented ones, the scented one’s smell very strong in my opinion. You just put 1-2 tablets right into the main barrel of the washing machine and run a load. Small loads take 1 tablet, and large loads may take 2. This is a great, gentle, non-toxic laundry option. I use it for my kids’ clothes and works just fine, too! I feel like I have detergent (that’s more toxic) for the tough stuff that I don’t use very often, and then I have a clean detergent for everything else. This Blueland would be the detergent for everything else and sheets, towels etc. Your everyday load. It’s a great option if you’re avoiding those big plastic jugs - this feels a lot better for the planet!!

  • The Dishwasher Tablets are good, but I have used better and I didn’t reorder. You just pop one in the area of the dishwasher where you place the detergent and then you run the dishwasher. These are just like your pods you may use from the store, but they are not wrapped in plastic, which I appreciated. However, I found that if you have a lot of food left on your dishes or anything that is kind of stuck to the dish, it may not get everything off. My other complaint is that they don’t dissolve all the way and left some film on some glasses. Overall, not my favorite for the dishwasher. If you’re looking for plastic-free dishwasher tablets, my fav brand I re-order are actually these from Branch Basics.

Where to Buy Blueland

  1. On the Blueland website here. This is where you'll find the largest selection of starter kits and refill packs.

  2. On Amazon here. A great option if you're looking for faster shipping, although the full Tablet Trio Starter Kit isn't usually available there.

  3. At Target here. The lemon toilet tablets are at Target!

Is Blueland worth it?

Overall, yes- I do think Blueland is worth trying if you're looking for non-toxic, plastic-free cleaning products.

Not every product was a home run for me, and I think that's okay.

One thing I appreciate most is that Blueland makes reducing plastic waste feel realistic. Instead of throwing away another bulky plastic bottle every month, you simply refill the containers you already own.

If you're curious about making the switch to more eco-friendly cleaning products, I'd start with the toilet cleaner tablets or the laundry tablets. Those are the two products I'd confidently recommend to friends - and the ones you'll continue finding in my own home.
