Why We Switched to Hiya Health Vitamins (and haven't looked back)

Note - This post isn’t sponsored; it’s my personal and honest experience with this brand and why I chose to try them. I do share an affiliate link for Hiya, which means I may earn a small commission if you choose to purchase through it - at no extra cost to you. I only ever share products we personally use and genuinely love, and this is one I’d be buying regardless. and why I got a link! (You will also get 50% off your first order!)

The problem I always faced with KIDS' vitamins.

I don’t know if you can relate to this but finding a vitamin that my kids actually wanted to take has constantly been a struggle over the years. For a bit, I did the chewy ones that were pretty much like gummies but then started to wonder if there was a better option that didn’t feel like candy - artificial dyes and sugar (they get enough of those in other places!). I tried the white powder than you mix into food but then I found my kids never ate all the food, so I wasted it every time and that stressed me out! I also found it weird that I was hiding it.

Anyways… long story short, I never really consistently gave my kids vitamins because I didn’t find one that I felt good about enough to continue to buy it and give to my kids.

How I Found Hiya (and Why I Felt Good Saying Yes)

Over the last several years, I had seen Hiya Vitamins across the internet and always wondered about them but never tried them. Then one night, in the middle of the night (IYKYK), I couldn’t sleep and for some reason was very fixated on finding a kid’s vitamin. I am who I am LOL. So it was at 1 am that I decided to order these Hiya ones (it’s a multi-vitamin and a probiotic). It is 50% off your first order, so I figured why not?!?!

What stood out immediately was that Hiya wasn’t trying to be candy.

  • No gummy bears.

  • No neon colors.

  • No added sugar.

Instead, Hiya is a chewable vitamin that:

  • Has zero added sugar

  • Is made with clean, thoughtfully chosen ingredients

  • Actually supports kids’ nutritional needs - not just tastes good

  • And is refillable! I loved this - you get one jar and then just reorder the refills!

But… I’ll be honest: my biggest hesitation was whether my kids would actually eat them!!!

The Real Test: Will My Kids Take It?

  • Short answer: yes

  • Long answer: It took a few weeks to ease in and get used to (which, as explained below, felt normal)

At first only one child liked them and the other two didn’t. Then over time they all would take them and actually wanted to take them… and sometimes will even ask for them!! I felt like this was such a mom win!!!

So overall, I feel like you get used to these over time (or maybe that is just my experience with it taking a few weeks to get used to and enjoy them). That’s with anything new; it can just take a bit but then becomes routine! I’ve tried them and they are not super sweet, almost tart in a way, so I think that is also why it took a bit to get used to since it’s not candy…but follow with some water and you’re good to go!

Now, all three of my kids take the same chewable vitamin, and there’s no bribing, negotiating, or pretending it’s a treat. They know it’s a vitamin to help make them healthy. They know it’s good for them. I don’t feel like I am hiding anything.

It’s become part of our routine… like brushing teeth or putting on shoes. A huge win!

Final Thoughts From a Real Mom

There are a million parenting decisions to make every single day. Vitamins shouldn’t have to feel complicated or sketchy - ya know!? There are great brands out there, and that is why I wanted to share this blog post to share about this one.

Hiya honestly gave me peace of mind. And somehow made vitamins something my kids don’t fight me on. Honestly? That alone deserves 5 stars!!!

If you’re like me and haven’t found a vitamin you feel good about and that your kids actually want to take… I would try this brand!!
