THE ICING ON THE CAKE   

 This is me. Anna Newell.  And around me is all that is SWEET in life. 
 Location: Chelsea Market, New York City.  It is home of all that is wonderful.  Because it houses the Food Network headquarters (enough said!). 
 This is one of my  favorite  places to come to when I make my frequent trips to New York City.  
 Inside Chelsea Market, there are markets and shops that are open to the public.  This place is where Bobby Flay grabs local goods to cook up. Well…at least I like to tell myself that (and I keep an eye out every time I am there). 
 The picture above was taken in an amazing bakery right inside Chelsea Market.  Beautifully frosted cupcakes and cookies were all around me. It was heaven in the form of sugar… 
 I don’t just crave these sweets.  I just walk in the bakeries to become inspired, not to eat.  You see, I crave being in my own kitchen and making my own treats.  You don’t have to buy just ONE cupcake when you can make a whole batch yourself. 
 My Mission:  Hours of mixing flours, sugars and chocolates.  Countless dishes and cracked eggs… debating the salted vs. unsalted butter.  Decorating cookies like a painter’s canvas.  Creating beautiful works of edible art.  
 It will be a blog of sweets.
